Our congregation is a member of the Michigan Interfaith Power and Light, a state chapter of a national movement that began in 1998. The mission of the organization is to enlist religious groups to be faithful stewards of God’s creation by responding to global warming through the promotion of energy conservation, energy efficiency and renewable energy. In early January we had an energy audit of our building for the purpose of considering energy efficiency changes. In the spring we will fertilize our lawn with products safe for the ecosystem. Of benefit to our members are the various discounts you can receive when purchasing energy star products as well as learning about ways to save fuel costs in your home.
