Kids Against Hunger

Coming October 6 (9:00am-Noon)
Be part of LCM’s Kids Against Hunger 2018 project to pack over 10,000 meals for hungry children in Detroit and around the world!
Kids Against Hunger, a humanitarian food-aid organization, is to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the USA and to feed starving children throughout the world. The organization’s approach to achieving its goal – the eradication of world hunger – includes the packaging of a highly nutritious, vitamin-fortified soy-rice casserole by volunteers at numerous locations within the USA and Canada, and the distribution of those meals to starving children and their families in over 60 countries through partnerships with humanitarian organizations worldwide.
HOW CAN YOU HELP: Volunteer as either a leader or participant. We are looking for eight leaders to be responsible for bringing together teams of volunteers to participate in this event. The makeup of each team is left to each leader. They can invite their neighbors, friends,
co-workers, etc. (Kids as young as 6 can participate.) Leaders and their will raise funds, if possible, to help with the overall project cost. The fundraising activities are left to the discretion each leader/team. Sign-up sheet is located in the narthex or contact Fred Tarazi at ftarazi40@yahoo.com or (248)705-8976 if you have any questions.
